The Kozhikode Municipal Corporation in Kerala will operationalise the sewage treatment plant (STP) at Njeliyanparamba by end-August. The plant has already been running on a trial basis for two weeks. It was constructed under the Kerala Sustainable Urban Development Project (KSUDP) by Mumbai-based Ionex Envirotech Private Limited. The plant has a capacity of 75,000 litres and was built at a cost of Rs 7.5 million.
