The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board in Telangana is expected to commission water supply services in 11 Peripheral Circles of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Project by end-December 2017. Works pertaining to construction of service reservoirs, laying of water supply trunk mains and distribution network are in progress in all 11 areas which include Alwal, Kapra, Uppal, Ramchandrapuram, Qutubullapur, L B Nagar and Gaddi Annaram, Rajendranagar, Kukatpally, Seri Lingampally and Patancheru. The project is expected to entail a cost of Rs 19 billion. Of which, the Government of Telangana has sanctioned Rs 17 billion as budgetary support and remaining Rs 2 billion will be provided as loan by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited.
