The Government of Karnataka has approved modifications in Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board‘s (BWSSB) detailed project report for a water supply scheme for 110 villages in its limits. The scheme is being implemented under Stage V of the Cauvery Water Supply Scheme. It is to be implemented at a cost of Rs 18.86 billion. Of the total investment required, two-third of the cost is expected to be borne by the state government while the remaining will be provided by BWSSB. Tenders for the project are expected to be issued soon.
