The central government has extended the MoU with its Swiss counterpart for the Building Energy Efficiency Project till 2021. The MoU for the project was signed in 2011 for a period of five years, with the objective of reducing energy consumption of buildings. The project, which is being jointly implemented by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, has been extended for five years.
