Twenty private companies have expressed interest in bidding for the upcoming 750 MW ultra-mega solar power plant at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. The project is being developed by Rewa Ultra Mega Power Limited, a JV of the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The companies include SBG Cleantech Limited, Singapore3 Pte Limited, Green Infra Wind Power Project Limited, Shapoorji Pallonji Infrastructure Capital Company Limited, Torrent Power Limited, ReNew Power Ventures Private Limited, Azure Power Global Limited and Hero Future Energies Private Limited. The firms will bid for three units of 250 MW each, competing on the tariff at which they plan to sell the power.
