The Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) in Andhra Pradesh has commenced construction works on the Guntur underground drainage (UGD) project. The scope of work comprises laying of a 1,083 km long UGD network. GMC is expecting to complete the works by December 2018. The project will entail an investment of Rs 7.33 billion and is being provided financial assistance by the World Bank.
