The Andhra Pradesh government has approved implementation of 11 waste-to-energy (WtE) plant projects under the government’s ‘Swachh Andhra’ programme. While land has already been allocated for development of these projects, the required machinery for project implementation is expected to be installed by March 2017. Works on the WtE plants will be completed by January 2018.
