MoUD releases first instalment for Jawaharnagar SWM Project in Telangana

The Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) has released the first instalment of Rs 257.2 million to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for its Jawaharnagar Solid Waste Management Project in Telangana. The project is being executed at a total cost of Rs 1,469.5 million. The scope of work involves capping the waste dumped at the Jawaharnagar dump yard at 4,000 tonnes per day. The yard will be capped within 102 acres of land at a cost of Rs 1,368.3 million. The leachate from the yard will then be transferred to the nearest STPs for treatment. The transportation cost for the same has been estimated at Rs 101.4 million.
