The Punjab government has announced a tariff rate of Rs 5 per unit for existing and new industries in the state. On similar lines, the Haryana government has announced the provision of a concession of Re 1 per unit on prevailing electricity tariffs to the industrial sector in the state. Post tariff revision, large industries will get power at Rs 6 per unit while micro, small and medium enterprises will get power at Rs 4.99 per unit.
