Tata Power Company Limited has completed the construction of the 187 MW Shuakhevi hydropower project in Georgia through its JV company, Adjaristsqali Georgia LLC (AGL). The Shuakhevi project is the largest hydropower plant to be built in Georgia in the past 50 years. Project construction began in 2013 and entailed an investment of over $420 million. AGL is Tata Power’s JV with Norway-based Clean Energy Invest AS and IFC InfraVentures.
