Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) has signed an MoU with the Petroleum Conservation Research Association for the implementation of the Energy Efficient Piped Natural Gas Cook Stive programme across the country. Under the MoU, EESL will promote the programme and distribute energy efficient PNG-based cook stoves to prospective consumers. The EEPS programme, in its first phase, will witness the distribution of 1 million energy efficient PNG-based cooking stoves in select cities of the country. The programme will be available to all PNG consumers in relevant areas. Consumers can opt for two kinds of payment models for the availability of the programme – upfront or EMIs. EESL will implement this programme by mobilising the requisite investment and will do procurement, distribution, annual maintenance and warranty obligations.
