Powergrid has secured two electricity transmission projects through the tariff-based competitive bidding route on a build-own-operate and maintain basis. These projects are part of the Transmission Systems Strengthening Scheme for the evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase II, Part D and Phase II, Part F. In a separate development, Powergrid’s 320 kV, 2,000 MW Pugalur (Tamil Nadu) Thrissur (Kerala) high voltage direct current project has been inaugurated.
