Union government grants approval for implementation of the Nag River Pollution Abatement Project

The central government has granted approval for the implementation of the Nag River Pollution Abatement Project. The project aims to rejuvenate the Nag and Pili rivers by laying 1,362.5 km of sewage lines in the north and central sewage zones, constructing three new STPs with a total capacity of 72 mld at Shankar Nagar, Morbhavan bus stand and Martin Nagar, and incorporating three existing STPs at Mokshadham, Mankapur and NIT into the project, Nagpur Environmental Services has been appointed to implement the project.
