The central government laid the foundation stone for the 24×7 Patiala water supply scheme on May 17, 2021. The project involves providing 24×7 drinking water supply to Patiala city in Punjab on a design-build-operate-transfer basis under the PPP model, under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation. The project is being implemented by the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board at an estimated cost of Rs 5.03 billion.
