Eight mines auctioned in tranche II of commercial coal mining

In the second tranche of commercial coal mining auctions, the Adani group entities have won three out of eight mines. Adani’s subsidiary, CG Natural Resources Private Limited, won the Khargaon mine and the Jhigador mine in Chhattisgarh, while Adani Power Maharashtra Limited bagged the Gondkhari block in Maharashtra. Shreesatya Mines Private Limited became the preferred bidder for the Burakhap Small Patch block in Jharkhand and Prakash Industries Limited bagged the Bhaskarpara mine in Chhattisgarh. Jharkhand’s Rauta Closed block received the highest bid of 75.5 per cent revenue share to the state government, which was won by Shreesatya Mines Private Limited. The other coal block winners in this tranche are South West Pinnacle Exploration Limited (Jogeshwar and Khas Jogeshwar mines in Jharkhand) and Sunflag Iron and Steel Company Limited (Bhivkund mine in Maharashtra).
