NMC to send proposal for improving water supply distribution under AMRUT 2.0

The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) is planning to submit a proposal to Maharashtra Urban Development Department for improving water supply distribution in Nashik under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0. NMC is likely to provide funds worth Rs 1 billion for the project. The project involves laying a new 185 km network of pipelines in developing areas like Adgaon, Makhmalabad, Pathardi, New Indira Nagar etc., and replacing around 327 km length of old water distribution pipelines with new pipelines of greater diameter in the old city area of Maharashtra. It will also include a pipeline project from the Darna dam to Nashik city entailing an investment of Rs 1,200 million. The total project is estimated to entail an investment of Rs 3 billion.
