The central government has set up a panel to review the formula that dictates the pricing of gas produced by companies such as ONGC and Reliance Industries. The idea is to moderate the steep increase that producers would have otherwise witnessed. The committee will suggest a fair price for the end consumer. The panel will include representatives of the Gas Processors Association as well as ONGC and Oil India Limited.
