The Uttar Pradesh government has inaugurated the Ganga water supply project (phase III) in Greater Noida. The project is being executed by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority in three phases with phase III involving the laying of a 17.9 km long, 1,600 mm wide, raw water conveyance main from the intake point at Dehra to the water treatment plant (WTP) near Palla village. It also includes the laying of a 5.1 km long clear water conveyance main from the WTP near Palla village to the master reservoir near sector KP-IV and the construction of a 210 mld WTP at Palla with primary treatment works at the intake point near village Dehra. The project entails an estimated investment of Rs 8.5 billion.
