The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved $200 million in additional financing for the Rajasthan Secondary Towns Development Sector Project. The project includes work to improve the water supply and sanitation systems in Rajasthan. Under this project, all groundwater sources will be converted to surface water, about 700 km of leaking water pipes will be replaced, and 77,000 households will be provided with water meters. Additionally, three new water treatment plants will be established.
