The Telangana government inaugurated a sewage treatment plant (STP) at Kokapet in Hyderabad, Telangana, on July 1, 2023. The scope of work includes the construction of a 15 mld capacity STP based on advanced sequential batch reactor technology. The plant will treat sewage from Vattinagulapally, Taj Nagar, Journalists Colony (Gachibowli), Gowlidoddy and parts of the Financial District at an estimated cost of Rs 661.6 million.
