64.45 per cent of rural households in Uttar Pradesh provided with tap water under JJM

As of October 10, 2023, Uttar Pradesh has provided tap water to more than 16.9 million (64.45 per cent) rural households under the Jal Jeevan Mission since 2019. In the state, 100 per cent tap water connections have been provided in 25,853 villages out of a total of 96,296 villages. On October 10, 2023, a team of the Ministry of Jal Shakti in­spected Udai­pur village in Mohanlalganj, checking tap water supply in every hou­se­hold. It also inspected other aspects such as the chlorination plant and the overhead tank.
