MoP releases procedure for implementation of uniform renewable energy tariff

The Ministry of Power (MoP) has released the procedure for the implementation of a uniform renewable energy tariff for end power procurers, including discoms and open-access consumers. The procedure establishes a framework for different central pool categories, each catering to specific renewable energy sources, such as solar power, wind power, hydropower, solar-wind hybrid, round-the-clock power (solar-wind hybrid with storage), peaking power (solar-wind hybrid with storage), firm and dispatchable renewable energy power, and any other new pool specified by the central government.
