World Bank signs project worth USD200 million to increase renewable energy penetration in Himachal Pradesh

World Bank has signed a deal worth $200 million with the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh for a project that will facilitate power sector reforms in Himachal Pradesh and increase the share of renewable energy in the state’s electricity generation. This will contribute to the state’s overall aim of adding 10,000 MW of renewable energy capacity to make the state’s power supply greener.
