Foundation stone laid and inauguration done for water supply and sewage projects in Gujarat

The government inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various water supply and sewage projects in Gujarat on October 30, 2023. The in¬aug¬urated projects include two drinking water supply schemes for Palanpur and Banaskantha; the Dharoi dam-based Palanpur lifeline project, which involves head work and a WTP with a capacity of 80 mld; and the Valasana barrage on Sabarmati river. Meanwhile, a foundation stone was also laid for a septage and sewerage management project at Kalol in Gandhinagar district; sewage treatment plants at Siddhpur in Patan, Palanpur in Banaskantha, Bayad in Aravalli and Vadnagar in Mehsana; and lake rejuvenation projects in the villages of Vijapur and Manasa taluka in the Mehsana and Gandhinagar districts.
