The Delhi Development Authority inaugurated stormwater channels and sewage treatment plants (STPs) in Dwarka, Delhi, on February 20, 2024. The project has been completed by the Delhi Development Authority at a cost of Rs 3 billion. It included setting up of island fountains, a STP of 7 mld capacity at stormwater channel-2 and at stormwater channel-5 of 9.5 mld capacity. The rejuvenation work of stormwater channels 2 and 5 will address challenges related to the existing drainage system, while providing additional green space and beautifying the Dwarka sub-city.
