The New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has approved the Kushak drain rejuvenation project in Delhi. The scope of the project includes the construction of decentralised wastewater treatment plants with a capacity of 5 million litres per day (mld) at Lutyens Delhi and two 2.5 mld water treatment plants (WTPs) at the last end of the stretch and four sequential continuous flow reactors between the stretch of the 6.5 km-long drawing running from the Sardar Patel Marg to Kamal Ataturk Marg, at an estimated cost of Rs 1.7 billion.
