Construction work on Bareilly Sewerage (I&D and STP) Project completed in Uttar Pradesh

Construction work on the Bareilly sewerage (interception and diversion [I&D] and sewage treatment plant [STP]) project has been completed in Uttar Pradesh under the National Mission for Clean Ganga. The first trial run of the project has also been completed. The STPs are likely to be connected to drains by June 2024. The scope of work involved the development of a 42 mld capacity STP near Bisalpur road, a 20 mld STP near Chaubari Nala and a 1 mld STP near Air Force Nala; the construction of three main pumping stations (of capacities 42 mld, 20 mld and 1 mld respectively), one 12.52 mld lifting station and 15 I&D structures; and the laying of 16,391 m of sewer lines and 120 m of rising mains, at a cost of Rs 2.72 million.
