Construction work on the Kairana sewerage I&D and STP project has been completed. However, operations have not yet commenced due to lack of electricity. The scope of the project involved the development of a 10 mld STP at a cost of Rs 786 million on a design-build-operate-transfer basis under public-private partnership mode, under the Namami Gange programme.
