About 81 per cent physical progress achieved on North-East natural gas pipeline

In a notable development, about 81 per cent physical progress has been achieved on the North-East natural gas pipeline. The North-East pipeline grid involves the development, operations and maintenance (O&M) of a natural gas pipeline connecting eight states – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. It is being implemented by Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited, a joint venture (JV) company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), GAIL (India) Limited, OIL and NRL. It entails an investment of Rs 92.65 billion.
