In a notable development, Megha City Gas Distribution Private Limited has signed its first gas sales agreement in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh. It has been signed with Sunder Food Product for the supply of industrial piped natural gas (PNG). Sunder Food Product will utilise PNG as fuel at its manufacturing unit in Boregaon. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has authorised Megha Gas to lay city gas distribution (CGD) infrastructure in 62 districts across 22 geographical areas (GAs) in nine states, namely, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
