Foundation stone laid for the development of a surface water supply project from the Sone river to Aurangabad, Dehri and Sasaram in Bihar

The Bihar government laid the foundation stone for the development of a surface water supply project from the Sone river to Aurangabad, Dehri and Sasaram in Bihar under the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan, on September 2, 2024. The scope of work includes providing drinking water using the surface water available in the Sone River to the cities of Aurangabad, Dehri and Sasaram on a turn the key basis. The work is likely to be completed in 30 months at an estimated cost of Rs 13.47 billion.
