NMCG sanctions three STPs, at Salori, Rasoolabad and Naini in Uttar Pradesh

The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) has sanctioned three sewage treatment plants (STPs), at Salori, Rasoolabad and Naini in Uttar Pradesh. The scope of work includes the development of STPs at Salori (43 million litre per day [mld] capacity at Rs 3,250 million), Rasoolabad (90 mld at Rs 4,760 million) and Naini (50 mld at Rs 1,860 million). These STPs will increase the total sewage treatment capacity of the city from the current 340 mld to 523 mld.
