Reliance Bio Energy wins contract for bio-CNG plant in Astauli

In a significant development, Reliance Bio Energy Limited (RBEL) has won a contract for the development of a bio-CNG plant in Astauli, Uttar Pradesh. Bids for the same were invited by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority in June 2024. The project involves the development of a bio-CNG/compressed biogas plant primarily based on the organic fraction of solid waste to treat 300 tonnes per day of waste on a design-finance-build-own-operate basis. The work is likely to be completed in 12 months.
