The Kandla-Gorakhpur liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pipeline is expected to be operational by June 2025, with the first phase set for commissioning in March. The project involves laying a 2,805 km LPG pipeline from Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s LPG import facilities at Kandla in Gujarat to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh through Madhya Pradesh. The pipeline, with a transport capacity of 8.3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa), entails an investment of Rs 100 billion.
