The Delhi government inaugurated PNG connections in 111 villages of Delhi on May 15, 2025. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) aims to provide connectivity to all 357 villages of Delhi. Under Phase I, it had provided PNG connections to 130 villages. In addition, it is planning to provide connections to the remaining 116 villages by December 2025. So far, IGL has laid over 13,000 km of gas pipeline. It currently supplies PNG to over 72,000 families across Delhi.
