BPCL signs tripartite agreement with Bilaspur Municipl Corporation, CBDA for CBG plant

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has signed a tripartite agreement with the Bilaspur Municipal Corporation and the Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority (CBDA) for the development of a compressed biogas (CBG) plant in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, under the CBG-CGD synchronisation scheme. The plant will be developed on 10 acres of land in Kachhar with the capacity to process 150 tonnes per day (tpd) of municipal solid waste to produce 5-10 tpd of biogas. BPCL is expected to invest about Rs 1 billion in setting up the project.
