The Rajasthan government has approved the Rajasthan City Gas Distribution [CGD] Policy, 2025 to strengthen clean energy infrastructure across the state. The policy includes the expansion of piped natural gas (PNG) and compressed natural gas networks in small towns and urban areas through simplified, time-bound regulatory procedures and a dedicated single-window CGD portal. It will be valid until March 31, 2029, and support investment in CGD infrastructure, and a shift towards environment-friendly fuel alternatives.
