The government of Himachal Pradesh has installed online continuous effluent monitoring systems (OCMS) at its sewage treatment plants (STP) to monitor water quality.
These OCMS have been linked to Central and State Pollution Control Board servers. Besides, Himachal Pradesh government has also proposed to shift to advanced disinfection methods from the current use of bleaching powder.
