The foundation stone for the polypropylene plant at the Numaligarh refinery at Golaghat in Assam was laid on September 14, 2025. The facility is expected to entail an investment of Rs 72.3 billion, and will have a production capacity of 360,000 tonnes. It is targeted to enhance India’s domestic industrial capacity and reduce import dependence.
