The Shimla Jal Prahandhan Nigam Limited has approved the deployment of the ozone technology in the upcoming project of Bulk Water Supply from the Sutlej river. The advanced technology is being used for the first time in Himachal Pradesh to accelerate water disinfection.
The ozone water treatment involves on-site gas generation and its infusion into water to remove impurities.
