QatarEnergy signs SPA with the GSPC for LNG supply to India

QatarEnergy has signed a 17-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) for the supply of up to 1 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to India. The LNG is scheduled to commence delivery to terminals in the country commencing from 2026. The agreement builds on the first long-term LNG supply contract signed between the two entities in 2019. It is also expected to support India’s transition to a clean energy mix, and strengthen the country’s energy security.
