Delhi Development Authority set to execute automation system in STPs in Delhi

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) is planning to establish its first micro data centre to digitise Gurugram’s water supply and other assets. The facility will integrate geographic information system mapping, artificial intelligence, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)-based systems and internet of things sensors to enable real-time monitoring of Gurugram’s water infrastructure.

Under the initiative, the city will be divided into district metered areas that will allow the concerned authorities to track water supply, consumption and losses caused by leakages or theft. The data centre will compile detailed records on assets such as tubewells and boosting stations, assigning each a unique identification and enabling the system to alert officials to faults or disruptions before they are reported in the field.
