The government of Andhra Pradesh has rolled out a comprehensive State Action Plan and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for drinking water quality monitoring and public disclosure across all urban local bodies (ULBs).
The initiative mandates adherence to BIS IS 10500:2012 drinking water standards and establishes a multi-layered monitoring framework integrating field-level testing, strengthened laboratories and real-time digital reporting through the Andhra Pradesh Consistent Monitoring of Municipal Services platform.
