MoP approves projects worth Rs 36 billion in Gurugram and Faridabad

The Ministry of Power (MoP) has approved Rs 36 billion for upgradation and modernisation of the power distribution infrastructure in Gurugram and Faridabad.
The projects will be carried out under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme with the aim to benefit residents of Manesar and Badshahpur in Gurugram, Old Faridabad, NIT, Ballabhgarh, and Greater Faridabad. This includes upgrading around 500 power feeders and installing 20 new gas insulated substations (12 in Faridabad and 8 in Gurugram), laying 3,500 km of underground cables, setting up about 5,000 new distribution transformers and compact substations, and splitting 486 feeders into 821 feeders.
