Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has inaugurated its first compressed biogas (CBG) plant in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The plant, established under the Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation initiative, will have a capacity of 6 tonnes per day. IGL is an Indian natural gas distribution company that supplies natural gas as cooking and vehicular fuel. Established in 1998, the company operates primarily in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and its neighbouring cities.
