ONGC operates new-generation drilling rigs using CNG cascades at Tripura Asset

ONGC has reportedly achieved a milestone by operating new-generation drilling rigs using compressed natural gas (CNG) cascades at its Tripura Asset, facilitating the substitution of up to 70 per cent of diesel with domestically produced natural gas. The project has been implemented in collaboration with Tripura Natural Gas Corporation Limited. The initiative has led to a significant reduction in carbon emissions, lowered operating costs and reduced import dependence, while not compromising on the performance of the engine and reliability of operations.
