ONGC commences offshore data acquisition campaign in Western Offshore

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) commenced its offshore data acquisition campaign in the Western Offshore on September 24, 2026. The programme is expected to generate high-quality subsurface insights with the use of a state-of-the-art 3D broadband seismic technology, strengthening future exploration and enabling evidence-based resource development across India’s offshore frontiers. The move is in line with the Samudra Manthan initiative, and marks a step in identifying new opportunities for hydrocarbon discoveries and understanding the offshore sedimentary basins.
